May... the gateway to summer is finally here! And with it, life comes back to our beautiful town now that the off-season is through!
The Province Lands Visitor Center has reopened at the National Seashore; its observation deck offers amazing views of the dunes, the nearby beach and the ocean! Now that the whales have again entered area waters, this is a great place to spot and observe!
Ferry service to and from Boston begins again in the middle of the month, meaning you can leave the vehicle behind and enjoy the freedom of a beach vacation here in Provincetown! Bring your bicycle if the thought of having NO transportation worries you!
Each year, residents and visitors alike look forward to our Monumental Yard Sale! On May 18-19, residents will be offering personal treasures, and businesses feature some great deals throughtout town. And let's not forget the annual Let's Make a Diva show on the evening of the 18th, where performances bring back memories of your favorite television highlights!
May 19th also welcomes Maritime Days back to the area with events featured all along the Cape, from Sandwich to right here in P-Town.
The month ends on a high note with the annual Women of Color Weekend from May 30 into the start of June. While absolutely everyone is welcome here on ANY weekend, you will find social, informative, and fun events catered specifically to lesbian women of color and their families on these particular days.
Many of our member inns still have rooms open for various days of the month, so give your favorite a call and make reservations for your May getaway!
