Jazz & Music in Provincetown August 2013

Music galore is on the horizon here at Provincetown, where some great events are landing here on the Cape!  Why not plan a day or two (or more) with us for some unforgettable musical entertainment?
August 17, 2013:  “Shore Thing” Concert at the Seashore
The Lands Visitor Center hosts this free concert inspired by life and nature on the Cape.  Beginning at 3:30 p.m., locals Vicky McKee and Jack Pearson will lead this musical experience.  Aside from performing music including folk, blues, and rock, the duo will bring the audience into the mix by leading you in spontaneous song creation… you never know if you might hear the song you helped created in a future concert!  If you are musically inclined, or simply have an appreciation for music, we encourage you to join in this very creative concert!

August 17, 2013:  Provincetown Jazz Festival
After an afternoon at the Lands Visitor Center, hop on over to Provincetown Hall at 8:00 p.m. for the Provincetown Jazz Festival!  Now in its ninth year, Jazz performers from all over the world have taken part in this gathering of music and friendship.  Old standards and new compositions will be presented, and you never know who might show up at this unforgettable concert event.  Tickets are $25.
August 21, 2013:  Summer Jazz with Bart Weisman
Spend a few extra days here on the Cape and experience a true Jazz legend.  Besides being the Founder, Executive Producer, and a performer at the above-mentioned Jazz Festival, Bart Weisman is a well-known Jazz drummer who has performed with such acts as Suede, Lou Colombo, Shawnn Monteiro, Greg Abate, Stephanie Jordan, and many more.  He has even been involved in performances at the White House on occasion!  Even better, you may just bump into him around town, as he and his wife are also P-Town residents!
In the upcoming week, P-Town has all the Jazz and music to lighten your spirit and soothe your soul.  So swing out to P-town to get your creativity flowing and your toes tapping!
