Provincetown Celebrates Women’s Week October 14-20, 2013

Provincetown celebrates the ladies at the 2013 Women’s Week from October 14-20, 2013, and the Distinctive Inns of Provincetown invite you to enjoy unparalleled hospitality when you stay with us during the event!

The event is by no means relegated to this single week, as activities begin the weekend prior to
“regularly scheduled” offerings!  But whether you arrive early, or wait until the event begins, you’re in for an unforgettable week of fun and relaxation here on Cape Cod!

There is just too much happening to go into a play-by-play of each day, but suffice it to say that your schedule can be full from the moment you arrive, starting at noon on Friday, October 11!  Since 1984, Women’s Week has grown from a simple clambake (then called Women’s Weekend) to a truly amazing weeklong event that features more activities than you can imagine.  Seriously, you might bring a day-planner to determine how to fit in everything you want to do!

Workshop and class topics this year include cooking, wine/chocolate, photography, financial planning for same-sex couples, 12-step recovery concerns, both single-day and multi-day dramatic writing/performing workshops, bingo, your physical relationship, frank discussions about overcoming life’s adversities, yoga, and book readings.

There are so many performances to see, whether you enjoy drama, comedy, or music… and many of these shows are offered multiple times throughout the week to help you work them into your schedule.

Fun things outside the theater and classroom include the Annual Golf Tournament (a scramble), a Dune Tour, Historic Walking Tour, Single’s Mingle, the traditional Clambake, schooner sails, the Annual Fun Run and Walk, the Kate Clinton Touch Football Classic, Pizza Tasting, bonfires, craft show, dances, the Opening and Closing parties, and more.

Of course, you’re also welcome to take a break now and then, and just relax on the porch of your P-Town inn and watch the world go by.  Choose DIOP from member inns directly on Commercial Street, those slightly set back from the bustle, or our member inns at the quieter west end of town.  Each and every one hopes to show you a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere that feels just like home!
