December Holiday Music with a Swing/Klezmer Twist at PAAM

In the spirit of the season, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) welcomes the Bart Weisman Klezmer Swing Group to Provincetown to perform favorite holiday jazz, swing, and Klezmer tunes!  This year, the Group will perform here at PAAM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm.  What a perfect musical treat to enjoy during and early-winter visit to your favorite Distinctive Inns of Provincetown member bed and breakfast!

A drummer extraordinaire, Bart is a force in bringing great jazz sounds to all of Cape Cod, both with concert performance bands, and as supporting drums for those in need.  He is known for his almost psychic accompanying abilities, knowing intuitively how to make a singer or group sound better through the drums.  His musical chops have been honed with the likes of the Jersey Boys, Jay Geils (of the J. Geils Band), and several other big names in jazz, blues, and more.

Besides being a long-time resident, Bart is best known here in P-Town as the Executive Producer of the Provincetown Jazz Festival, and as a performer during the PAAM Summer Jazz Concert Series.  He also has a hand in producing concerts all over Cape Cod, and is a regular performer in several venues here on the coast of MA.  He currently performs with four bands: the Smooth Jazz Group, the Cape Cod Jazz Quintet, and the Brazilian Music Group, and the above-mentioned Klezmer Swing Group; all of these acts perform at nightclubs, events, weddings, and parties.

The December concert is free, once you pay your PAAM Museum admission, and PAAM’s location at 460 Commercial Street can easily be found from any of our DIoP Member Inns.  So all you need to do is reserve your favorite room, enjoy a December getaway to the Provincetown, and enjoy beautiful artwork and the wonderful sounds of the Klezmer Swing Group while you’re here.  We look forward to your visit!
