I love just who you are, I ain't goin' try to change ya.
You are a shooting star, that's why you are my favorite.
- Davis Rush, "Shooting Star"
August 2014 brings the Perseid Meteor Shower to the skies. In fact, the peak is expected on the night of August 12. What better place to see this magnificent sight than right here at the tip of Cape Cod? But you don't have to look to the heavens for shooting stars all month - you can find them right here in Provincetown in our artists, musicians, residents and guests!
There is plenty to see and do during your non-meteor-watching hours. This is the perfect time to see some of our amazing sights. Make your way across the Breakwater Walk (near Pilgrims First Landing Park) to Long Point, visit one of our popular beaches, see the our beautiful town from above with a visit to Pilgrim's Monument, enjoy our bike paths and walking/hiking trails, and so much more!
If you're looking for great events to enjoy, visit on August 17-18 for the Provincetown Jazz Festival, enjoy Carnival Week between August 17-23, join PAAM on Wednesdays for Jazz with Bart Weisman and Dick Miller, or choose to come to town for one of the many other events in August.
Days can be enjoyed with activities, evenings allow for events, and nighttime brings the meteors here in Provincetown, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Won't you join us?
You know it, you love it, but have you Liked Us yet on Facebook?
If not, why not do it now!
